What bloating actually is

Bloating is the feeling of fullness, tightness, or swelling in your stomach, usually after eating. It's most commonly caused by trapped gas or water retention in the digestive tract, not by the amount of food itself.

For most people, bloating is uncomfortable but harmless. It's extremely common, and it usually comes and goes depending on what you've eaten, how you've eaten it, and what's going on with your body on any given day.

Bloating is different from simply feeling full. Fullness is the normal signal that you've eaten enough. Bloating is the sensation of your stomach being distended or tight, often with visible swelling, and it tends to linger well after the meal is done.

How Debloat helps

Bloating usually has more than one cause, which is why Debloat is built around three mechanisms that work together. Two of them go to work on the meal in front of you. The third supports your gut over time.

Helps break down the food that causes the most trouble

Some foods are just harder work for your body to digest. Heavy proteins, rich fats, dairy, and the complex carbs in beans, lentils and cruciferous veg like broccoli and cabbage tend to cause the most bloating, because your body doesn't always produce enough of the specific enzymes needed to break them down efficiently.

Debloat includes seven digestive enzymes, each targeting a different part of a typical meal:

Amylase for starches and carbs.

Protease for proteins, including heavier ones in meat and dairy.

Lipase for fats.

Lactase for dairy.

Cellulase for fibrous plant material.

Bromelain for protein breakdown, traditionally used alongside heavy meals.

Alpha-galactosidase for the complex carbs in beans, lentils and cruciferous veg.

That last one matters. Alpha-galactosidase is the specific enzyme for the foods most people struggle with most, and most digestive supplements don't include it. [link: research on alpha-galactosidase and GOS digestion]

Taken 30 minutes before a meal, the enzymes are ready to help your body handle what's on the plate as you eat it.

Soothes the gut and eases symptoms

Alongside the enzymes, Debloat includes five traditional herbs chosen for their long history of use around meals.

Ginger, one of the most widely used digestive herbs, traditionally used across nearly every cuisine for good reason.

Fennel seed, long chewed after meals in many parts of the world.

Peppermint oil, enteric-coated so it bypasses the stomach and releases in the small intestine where it actually works. This is the form used in clinical studies of peppermint for digestive comfort. [link: peppermint oil clinical research]

Lemon balm, a gentle herb from the mint family, traditionally used for calm.

Chamomile, traditionally used after meals and before bed.

The herbs work alongside the enzymes during and after the meal, helping the gut feel settled as you eat.

Builds gut strength over time to ease stubborn bloating

The third pillar works on a longer timescale. Your gut bacteria play a real role in digestion, and that balance can be disrupted by stress, modern diets, travel, and antibiotics.

Debloat includes six probiotic strains at 10 billion CFU:

Lactobacillus plantarum.

Lactobacillus acidophilus.

Lactobacillus fermentum.

Bifidobacterium animalis.

Bifidobacterium bifidum.

Streptococcus thermophilus.

Don't let the Latin put you off. These are some of the most researched probiotic strains in the world, with decades of study behind them.

The dose is deliberate. Many probiotic supplements push 50 or 100 billion CFU as a marketing number, but higher doses often cause more discomfort than they solve in the first weeks of use. [link: research on probiotic dosing and tolerability] 10 billion CFU across six strains is a dose that can be taken daily without the initial disruption, and one that builds a cumulative benefit over time.

For stubborn, persistent bloating, the probiotic side is where the long-term improvement comes from. But it needs consistent use. The benefit builds over weeks, not days.

How to use Debloat

Take 2 capsules with water, 30 minutes before the meals you know will cause trouble.

If your bloating is more stubborn, take it daily for the full benefit.
